We need to have a free, unmitigated vehicle for expressing our voices, frustrations, desperation, and, above all, aspirations. Through this FORUM we could create and recreate our own world, one that by no mean is perfect but that which offers alternatives and options to what has been available at the moment. We would engage in conversations in the spirit of pursuing new hopes even if their realizations are still beyond our reach at this moment of history. DUBES AS UNTUK RI, SCOT MARCIEL, ZIARAH KE MAKAM GUS DUR

Dubes AS untuk RI, Scot Marciel, berziarah ke makam Almaghfurlah Gus Dur di Jombang. Gus Dur dikenal memiliki hubungan persahabatan dengan beberapa Dubes AS utk RI ketika masih aktif sebagai Ketua PBNU, maupun ketika menjabat Presiden dan setelah lengser. Salah satunya adalah Dubes Paul Wolfowitz yang bertugas pada 1986 dan pernah menjadi Deputi Menhan AS pada masa Presiden GW Bush. GD tidak selalu sepaham dengan pandangan Pemerintah AS atau para pejabatnya. Namun hal itu tidak menghalangi hubungan persahabatan.
